Our Mission

The Virginia Master Naturalist Program is a state wide corps of volunteers providing education, outreach, and service dedicated  to the   beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.  Interested Virginians become Master Naturalist through training and volunteer service.

Virginia Master Naturalist Statewide Volunteer Conference and Training.  September  7-9, 2012 the Southwestern Piedmont Chapter will be hosting the event, and the two main venues will be the Virginia Museum of Natural History in Martinsville, and nearby Fairy Stone State Park in Patrick County
